Through the “Right to Equal Opportunities” project, we aim to provide children with special educational needs at the Făgăraș Inclusive Education School Center with access to an adapted, engaging, and real-world-connected education.

Our children learn differently. For them, the educational process requires concrete, visual, tactile, and experiential support. That is why we seek to enhance our material resources by acquiring educational and therapeutic games, sensory materials, audio-video resources, and interactive tools designed to stimulate cognitive development, language, attention, motor skills, and social abilities.

The project also focuses on organizing trips and community-based educational activities, offering children real opportunities for exploration and social interaction. For many of them, these outings represent rare chances to discover the surrounding environment, develop independence, and interact with other children in a natural and inclusive setting.

In this way, we directly contribute to the development of independent living skills and facilitate social integration.
Through our participation at Bikeathon, we aim to mobilize the local community around a cause that goes beyond material resources, it is about creating real opportunities for progress, inclusion, and dignity for our children. Because every kilometer completed can become a step forward for a child in need of our support.

- Limited access to diverse and specialized educational resources, tailored to the specific needs of special education (therapeutic games, sensory materials, audio-video and interactive tools);
- Challenges faced by teaching staff in delivering personalized interventions in the absence of concrete, accessible, and varied teaching materials;
- The need to support the intellectual, emotional, and social development of children with special educational needs through experiential methods and appropriate educational support;
- The importance of creating real-life, applied learning contexts that foster independent living skills and facilitate social integration;
- Low visibility of special education within the community, alongside insufficient awareness of the role and importance of inclusive education;
- The need to actively engage the local community in supporting vulnerable children and promoting equal opportunities.

- 272 students as direct beneficiaries: children with special educational needs who will gain access to adapted educational resources;
- Improvement of the school’s material resources through the acquisition of adapted educational and therapeutic materials, depending on the funds raised;
- Consistent use of the acquired resources by teachers and school specialists in educational and therapeutic activities;
- Organization of community-based educational and experiential activities, proportional to the available budget, involving a significant number of students;
- Increased student engagement in the educational process, reflected in improved participation and monitored individual progress;
- Strengthened sense of belonging to the school and reduced risk of dropout, particularly among students from vulnerable backgrounds;
- Development of social skills and personal autonomy, assessed through pedagogical tools and multidisciplinary team observations;
- Enhanced visibility of the school within the community, achieved through project promotion and active local community involvement in supporting inclusive education.
